We anticipate hosting between 20–30 players, depending on adaptive cart availability. Ensuring access to these specialized mobility devices remains one of our top priorities as we finalize course setup and event logistics.
Thank you for your continued support in helping us expand competitive opportunities for seated golfers.
United States Seated Golfers Championship Announced for September 28–30, 2026
Chandler, Arizona — The United States Seated Golfers Association (USSGA) proudly announces that the United States Seated Golfers Championship will be held September 28–30, 2026 at Whirlwind Golf Club.
The three-day national championship will bring together seated golfers from across the United States to compete in a premier event designed specifically for athletes who rely on adaptive mobility devices and use wheelchairs in daily life.
The Championship is expected to host approximately 20–30 players, with final field size dependent upon adaptive golf cart availability. Securing and coordinating specialized mobility devices remains a central focus of event planning, as these carts are essential for seated athletes to compete.
“This Championship represents an important step forward in expanding competitive opportunities for seated golfers nationwide,” said Larry Celano, President of the United States Seated Golfers Association. “Our goal is to provide a first-class national event while continuing to address the mobility device challenges that uniquely impact seated players.”
Event details including registration procedures, eligibility requirements, tournament format, and sponsorship opportunities will be announced in the coming months.
The USSGA continues to work closely with courses, adaptive equipment providers, and supporters to ensure a successful and sustainable championship.
